1. Bookings & Payment

All bookings are confirmed once payment has been received. Full payment is required in advance unless otherwise agreed.

2. Power Hour Appointments

Please provide any relevant information before your session so we can make the most of our time together.

If you need to rearrange, please give at least 48 hours' notice where possible. I'll always do my best to accommodate unexpected circumstances.

3. Research Services

Genealogical research depends on the availability and accuracy of historical records. While every effort will be made to investigate your family history thoroughly, specific discoveries or a particular number of generations cannot be guaranteed.

Research is carried out within the time and scope of your chosen package.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

For bookings made online or at a distance, you will normally have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of booking.

If you request that research or a session begins during this period, you may be required to pay for services already provided. If the service is fully completed, your cancellation right may end, subject to the legal requirements.

For cancellations outside any statutory cancellation period, refunds will take account of work completed and reasonable losses incurred.

5. Additional Costs

Any additional record purchases, certificates or archive fees will be discussed and agreed with you before costs are incurred. No additional research will be undertaken without your agreement.

6. Privacy & Confidentiality

Your personal information and family history details will be treated with care and confidentiality. Information will only be used to provide your chosen service, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Research Findings

Research reports and family trees are supplied for your personal use. Historical records may contain errors, inconsistencies or gaps, and any uncertainties will be explained wherever possible.

8. Questions or Concerns

If you have any questions about your booking or are unhappy with any aspect of the service, please get in touch so we can discuss and resolve the matter.
